Chipilín Tamales
Ingredients

1 kilogram of Corn dough
250 grams of Cream cheese
250 grams of Mozzarella cheese, in small pieces
2 Garlic clove
250 grams of Melted lard
450 grams of A bunch of chipilín
Garden leaves
1 pinch of Salt
Preparation
Step 1 : To prepare these chipilín tamales, start by blending 450 grams of chipilín and 2 garlic cloves with a little water.
Step 2 : Next, prepare the dough by mixing the blended chipilín with cream cheese and melted lard, kneading thoroughly.
Step 3 : Add salt to taste and let the dough rest.
Step 4 : To soften the garden leaves, place them in a pot with water over low heat for 5 minutes.
Step 5 : Then, cut the leaves into squares and place a large spoonful of the prepared chipilín dough on each leaf.
Step 6 : Add two pieces of mozzarella cheese and fold the leaf to form the tamale.
Step 7 : Arrange leaves at the bottom of a pot, then place the tamales on top, adding enough water.
Step 8 : Add another layer of leaves on top and cover the pot with its lid.
Step 9 : Cook the tamales for about an hour until they are done, then serve hot.
