10 Corn cobs

120 grams of Milk

60 grams of Sugar

1 tablespoon of Salt

200 grams of Melted margarine

Preparation

Step 1 : The corn kernels are placed in a blender along with the milk and blended.

Step 2 : Then add the sugar, melted butter, and a pinch of salt, blending everything again with the blender.

Step 3 : The corn husks are used to wrap the tamales.

Step 4 : They are opened fully, and inside each one, a portion of the mixture is placed—enough to form a tamale.

Step 5 : The tamales are wrapped by folding the bottom part to close them and reinforced by placing another husk over the top, folding the opposite end of the husk.

Step 6 : To cook the tamales, place all of them in a pot and cover with water.

Step 7 : Bring to a boil, covered, until they are well cooked.

Step 8 : The tamales can be served with a Salvadoran appetizer such as tomato sauce or curtido.
