Dog Pastries

Ingredients

Dog Pastries

1 pound of Ground beef

1 pound of Corn flour

5 Potatoes in cubes

2 tablespoons of Vegetable oil

2 Crushed garlic cloves

1 Onion

1 ½ Chopped morrón chili

1 Chopped tomato

3 cups of Water

1 teaspoon of Achiote powder

1 Garlic clove

1 pinch of Salt

Preparation

Step 1 : Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a skillet and sauté a garlic clove, half an onion, morrón chili, and tomato; add the potatoes and meat, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for 3 minutes.

Step 2 : Add half a cup of water and cook the mixture for 20 minutes, reserving the filling.

Step 3 : In a blender, place the remaining onion, garlic, morrón chili, and water; blend for 3 minutes and set aside.

Step 4 : In a bowl, mix the corn flour, blended mixture, water, achiote, salt, and pepper, kneading until a smooth dough forms.

Step 5 : Form small balls with the dough, flatten into tortillas, and place between plastic sheets; press with your fingers until thin.

Step 6 : Remove the plastic sheets, place a spoonful of filling in the center, fold the tortilla, and seal the edges.

Step 7 : Repeat until all ingredients are used, then fry in hot oil until golden and crispy, placing on paper towels to remove excess oil.
