Ingredients

Eggs in Tomato Sauce

4 Eggs

3 Tomatoes

½ Onion

1 Green chili

1 pinch of Oregano

2 tablespoons of Butter

3 Garlic

1 pinch of Salt

½ cup of Water

Preparation

Step 1 : Start by chopping the tomatoes, half of the onion, the chili, and the garlic into small pieces, separately.

Step 2 : Then, heat the butter in a skillet and add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until they are ready.

Step 3 : Next, add the chopped tomatoes and green chili, and begin to fry all the ingredients.

Step 4 : Add salt and oregano to taste for seasoning, and stir the mixture.

Step 5 : Then, add half a cup of water to the mixture to create a sauce, continuing to stir.

Step 6 : Make four spaces in the sauce and crack the eggs into them, cooking for about 5 minutes.

Step 7 : Remove the eggs with a spatula and serve hot, accompanied by delicious Salvadoran tortillas.
