Ingredients
½ pound of Maseca
1 teaspoon of Achiote
1 teaspoon of Baking soda or baking powder
Oil
½ cup of Water
1 pinch of Salt

Step 2 : Add a tablespoon of lard and slowly incorporate the water to start kneading until reaching the right consistency; the dough should be manageable, not too hard nor too runny.
Step 3 : Heat a skillet with plenty of oil.
Step 4 : Prepare the tortillas, remembering they should be thin and palm-sized, also round.
Step 5 : Fry them over low heat on both sides until crispy, then remove and place on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
