½ Ground corn dough
1 pinch of Salt
Annatto
Chicken broth
Meat, chicken, or vegetable filling

Step 1 : To prepare the pastries, first make the dough by adding the chicken broth and seasoning it with annatto to give it an orange color.
Step 2 : Knead well until the dough is ready.
Step 3 : Then, roll out the dough a bit to form tortilla-like shapes.
Step 4 : Next, place the ingredients in the center of the rolled-out dough.
Step 5 : Common fillings include ground beef, chicken, or vegetables, depending on the cook's preference.
Step 6 : Once the filling is added, cover with another piece of dough to form a half-moon shape.
Step 7 : To cook the pastries, heat plenty of oil in a skillet and place the pastries one by one.
Step 8 : Be attentive to avoid burning.
Step 9 : Cook for 3 to 5 minutes, or until golden brown, then remove to drain excess oil.
