Tamales Pisques
Ingredients
1 kilogram of Corn dough
2 Garlic cloves
1 Onion
1 Green pepper
500 grams of Cooked beans
200 grams of Melted shortening
1 pinch of Salt
1 pinch of Pepper
Oil
Banana leaves
Preparation
Step 1 : Cooked beans are mashed until they reach a thick consistency.
Step 2 : Cut the onion, garlic cloves, and green pepper into small pieces, then sauté them in hot oil.
Step 3 : Next, add the mashed beans to the sauté, season with salt and pepper, and mix well to form the filling for the tamales.
Step 4 : Then, prepare the corn dough by adding melted shortening and salt to taste.
Step 5 : Knead the mixture until it reaches a uniform consistency.
Step 6 : Boil the banana leaves for about 5 minutes to soften them and make them ready for wrapping the tamales.
Step 7 : Cut the leaves into squares, place one or two spoonfuls of the prepared dough, followed by a spoonful of bean filling.
Step 8 : Wrap everything with the banana leaf to form the tamales, and then boil them for approximately 50 minutes.
