Ingredients

4 Eggs

¼ cup of Refined sugar

1 cup of Vegetable oil

2 cups of Flour

1 teaspoon of Baking powder

1 teaspoon of Salt

1 cup of Refined sugar

1 teaspoon of Ground cinnamon

Extra oil for frying

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare the empanadas, start by beating the eggs and sugar until pale yellow.

Step 2 : Then, add the cup of oil to the mixture and set aside.

Step 3 : In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Step 4 : Gradually add this mixture to the egg mixture, making sure to incorporate all ingredients evenly.

Step 5 : Place the resulting dough on a clean and floured surface and knead until smooth and homogeneous.

Step 6 : Proceed to form 16 balls with the dough, which are then flattened into semicircles of approximately 10 cm in diameter.

Step 7 : Let the dough rest for 10 minutes before frying the empanadas in a skillet with hot oil until they are golden on both sides.

Step 8 : Once ready, sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon, and they are ready to be shared.
