Ingredients

450 grams of All-purpose flour

50 grams of Butter

1 Egg

1 Orange

Oil

1 pinch of Salt

350 grams of Sugar

Cinnamon sticks

Water

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare the hojuelas, in a bowl combine the all-purpose flour, butter, an egg, sugar, orange juice, a pinch of salt.

Step 2 : Slowly add water, kneading until achieving a homogeneous dough.

Step 3 : Subsequently, sprinkle flour on a flat surface and roll out the dough with a rolling pin until thin.

Step 4 : Using a cup, cut circles in the rolled-out dough to shape the hojuelas.

Step 5 : Fry each hojuela in hot oil until golden and toasted.

Step 6 : Serve hot and, if desired, sprinkle with sugar.
