Ingredients

1 kilogram of All-purpose flour

250 grams of Sugar

2 tablespoons of Yeast

150 grams of Vegetable shortening

8 Egg yolks

Cinnamon sticks

2 tablespoons of Butter

1 pinch of Salt

Sesame seeds

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare the recipe, start by placing half a cup of water in a container and add two tablespoons of yeast and two tablespoons of sugar.

Step 2 : Mix well and let it rest for 15 minutes.

Step 3 : In another container, place the all-purpose flour and add three tablespoons of sugar, a pinch of salt, and the prepared yeast mixture, along with a cup of water.

Step 4 : Mix with a mixer until all ingredients are integrated.

Step 5 : Incorporate the eggs, continue mixing, and then add the shortening, beat for 10 minutes.

Step 6 : Add cinnamon to taste and mix a little more. Grease two medium cake molds with butter and sprinkle a little flour to prevent the cake from sticking.

Step 7 : Pour the mixture into the molds, filling them halfway and making sure to spread it well.

Step 8 : Cover the molds with plastic wrap and let it rest for 2 hours.

Step 9 : After this time, remove the plastic wrap and make cross cuts in the mixture with kitchen scissors.

Step 10 : Sprinkle granulated sugar and sesame seeds to taste. Preheat the oven to 375°F and bake the cakes for 25 minutes.

Step 11 : Once ready, remove them from the oven and enjoy!
