Morro horchata fresco is a traditional and refreshing drink from El Salvador. Unlike traditional horchata, which is mainly made with rice, morro horchata fresco has morro as its main ingredient, also known as guanacaste morro or moringa.

Fresco de horchata de morro
Ingredients
½ pound of Morro seeds
½ pound of Sesame seeds
½ pound of Peanuts
½ pound of Squash seeds
½ pound of Cacao seeds
1 pound of Morro
60 grams of Cinnamon
2 Whole nutmeg seeds
60 grams of Culantro seeds
10 Allspice seeds

Preparation
Step 1 : In a skillet, the ingredients are toasted separately over medium heat.
Step 2 : It is important to watch the cacao acquire a golden hue and take care not to over-toast any of the ingredients.
Step 3 : Cinnamon is added at the end of cooking.
Step 4 : Once all the ingredients are toasted, they are combined and transferred to the blender.
Step 5 : To prepare the refreshment, three cups of water, one of milk, and 8 tablespoons of the previously prepared powder that are dissolved in the water are required.
Step 6 : Then, the mixture is strained through a cloth.
Step 7 : This way, the drink will be ready to enjoy.
