Rice Horchata
Ingredients
500 grams of White rice
400 milliliters of Milk
1 liter of Water
2 Cinnamon sticks
200 grams of Sugar
2 tablespoons of Liquid vanilla
Ground cinnamon
Preparation
Step 1 : In a deep container, place the rice with the cinnamon and enough water to soak for about 2 to 3 hours.
Step 2 : Once this time has elapsed, grind the rice with the cinnamon until a fine consistency is obtained.
Step 3 : Then, strain the paste through a sieve, pressing vigorously to extract as much liquid as possible.
Step 4 : To the resulting mixture, add 2 tablespoons of liquid vanilla and the 200 grams of sugar, stirring until completely dissolved.
Step 5 : Then add the 400 milliliters of milk and mix again.
Step 6 : The preparation is refrigerated before tasting, and ground cinnamon can be added when serving, if desired.
