Carne guisada
Ingredients
1 pound of Carne para guisar
2 Hojas de laurel
½ teaspoon of Tomillo
1 Clavos de olor
2 Dientes de ajo
1 Cebolla
1 Papa grande en cubos
2 Zanahorias en cubos
Mostaza
Salsa inglesa
4 Tomates
1 Chile verde
Consomé de res
Preparation
Step 1 : In a large pot, add 1 liter of water with bay leaves, two cloves of garlic, clove, half onion cut in half, and thyme.
Step 2 : Add the meat cut into small pieces, cover, and let it boil for 15-20 minutes.
Step 3 : Once cooked, remove the meat from the liquid along with the bay leaves and let it rest in a bowl.
Step 4 : Blend the remaining ingredients in the broth with the tomatoes and half of the green chili to enhance the stew's flavor.
Step 5 : In the same pot where the meat was cooked, add a little oil and pour the meat, adding Worcestershire sauce and mustard to taste.
Step 6 : Sauté for a few minutes with potatoes and carrots.
Step 7 : Incorporate the sauce into the meat and vegetables, you can add a little beef consommé and adjust the salt as needed.
Step 8 : Cover the pot and cook over medium-low heat for 15 minutes or until the vegetables are cooked.
