Plantain Cake with Beans and Cheese
Ingredients
6 Plantains
4 cups of Refried Ground Beans
150 grams of Grated Cheese
½ cup of Fresh Cream
¼ cup of Cream Cheese
1 tablespoon of Margarine
1 tablespoon of Ground Cinnamon
Sugar
Vegetable Oil
Preparation
Step 1 : To prepare this delicious dish, start by frying one of the sliced plantains and set it aside for later.
Step 2 : Then, fry the remaining plantains cut into long strips and set them aside on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Step 3 : Meanwhile, prepare the ground beans to your liking and set them aside once well-fried.
Step 4 : Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch glass baking dish with margarine.
Step 5 : Place the plantain slices in the bottom of the dish to cover the entire surface, pressing lightly with a fork to flatten them.
Step 6 : Next, add a layer of refried beans, spreading them evenly with a spatula.
Step 7 : Sprinkle grated cheese on top and add cheese chunks; if desired, add two tablespoons of cream, sprinkle cinnamon, and a pinch of sugar.
