Salvadoran Fried Rice

Ingredients

1 pound of White rice

1 tablespoon of Oil

1 tablespoon of Finely chopped onion

1 tablespoon of Peas

1 Chicken broth

1 pinch of Salt

Preparation

Step 1 : In a saucepan with hot oil or butter, add the onion to sauté for one minute, then add the rice and cook until golden brown.

Step 2 : Next, add one and a half cups of water, followed by the peas, salt to taste, and the chicken broth.

Step 3 : Cover the saucepan.

Step 4 : If desired, vegetables can be added.

Step 5 : Let it boil, then reduce the heat to cook slowly.

Step 6 : Ensure the rice is cooked to your liking before serving.
