Salvadoran Shrimp
Ingredients
2 pounds of Large, fresh and clean shrimp
1 tablespoon of Italian dressing
2 cups of Pineapple in pieces
1 cup of Mango in pieces
½ cup of Lemon juice
¼ cup of Orange-flavored sugar drink mix
1 tablespoon of Cornstarch
¼ cup of Water
Preparation
Step 1 : Mix the cornstarch with water to form a paste, set aside.
Step 2 : Cook and stir the shrimp in the dressing in a large skillet over moderate heat for 3 minutes.
Step 3 : Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
Step 4 : In the same skillet, add pineapple, mango, lemon juice, and the drink mix, stirring until well mixed.
Step 5 : Then add and stir in the cornstarch mixture, letting it come to a boil.
Step 6 : Reduce the heat to moderate and add the shrimp, cooking for 2 minutes or until they turn pink.
