Sardine in Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

250 grams of Sardine

5 tablespoons of Bread crumbs

Minced garlic

½ teaspoon of Paprika

½ teaspoon of Cayenne pepper

1 pinch of Oregano

½ teaspoon of Ground pepper

2 cups of Water

1 cup of Tomato sauce

1 tablespoon of Finely chopped onion

Oil

Preparation

Step 1 : Mix the flour with minced garlic and spices.

Step 2 : Then, coat the sardine pieces in the flour and fry them in hot oil.

Step 3 : On the other hand, sauté the onion in a separate pot and add the sardine portions previously fried.

Step 4 : Next, add two cups of water and let it cook.

Step 5 : Adjust the seasoning and add more water if needed.

Step 6 : Once the sardines are cooked, add the tomato sauce and let it simmer for a few minutes.

Step 7 : If you want a spicy touch, you can add crushed chili when the preparation is boiling, approximately a minute before removing it from the heat.
