Shrimp in Algashte
Ingredients
500 grams of Shrimp
½ cup of Algashte
3 Tomatoes
1 Onion
½ Green chili
2 Pasilla chilies
4 Garlic cloves
Cumin
Oregano
1 tablespoon of Black pepper
Oil
Preparation
Step 1 : The shrimp must be carefully cleaned before preparation.
Step 2 : The chili, onion, and tomatoes should be cut into medium-sized pieces.
Step 3 : In a blender, mix 2 pasilla chilis, a pinch of cumin, a pinch of oregano, 1 tablespoon of black pepper, along with the tomato, onion, and green chili pieces.
Step 4 : Add 1 cup of water and blend.
Step 5 : Then, add one cup of algashte to the blender mixture and continue blending.
Step 6 : In a pot with hot oil, place the shrimp and brown them.
Step 7 : Next, add the blender mixture to the pot along with one cup of water, stir well, and let it cook until the mixture slightly thickens.
Step 8 : Serve hot, ideally accompanied by white rice.
