Shrimp in alguashte

Ingredients

500 grams of Shrimp

½ cup of Alguashte

3 Tomatoes

1 Onion

½ Green chili

2 Pasilla chilies

4 Cloves of garlic

Cumin

Oregano

1 tablespoon of Black pepper

Oil

Preparation

Step 1 : The shrimp must be cleaned carefully before preparation.

Step 2 : The chili, onion, and tomatoes should be cut into medium pieces.

Step 3 : In a blender, mix 2 pasilla chilies, a pinch of cumin, a pinch of oregano, 1 tablespoon of black pepper, along with the pieces of tomato, onion, and green chili.

Step 4 : Add 1 cup of water and blend.

Step 5 : Then, add a cup of alguashte to the blender mixture and continue blending.

Step 6 : In a pot with hot oil, place the shrimp and cook until golden.

Step 7 : Subsequently, add the blender mixture to the pot along with a cup of water, stir well, and cook until the mixture thickens slightly.

Step 8 : Serve hot, ideally accompanied by white rice.
