Chocolate Flan
Ingredients
2 Eggs
3 Egg yolks
1 can of Condensed milk
1 can of Evaporated milk
½ cup of Semi bittersweet chocolate powder
Sugar
Shredded coconut
Preparation
Step 1 : In a deep bowl, combine whole eggs and extra yolks, condensed and evaporated milk, coconut (optional), and chocolate, and beat at medium speed until the mixture appears uniform.
Step 2 : In a small saucepan, prepare the caramel that will coat the flan.
Step 3 : Place ½ cup of sugar with a few drops of vanilla until the sugar melts and reaches a caramel-like consistency.
Step 4 : Then, pour the caramel into the bottom of the mold where the flan mixture will later be placed.
Step 5 : Place a large dish with hot water to create a water bath in the oven at 350°F, and cook the flan for about 1 hour.
Step 6 : Once fully set, remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and refrigerate.
