2 cups of Flour (strong bread flour)
½ cup of Margarine or shortening
1 tablespoon of Yeast used in bakeries
1 cup of Sugar
2 Eggs
1 pinch of Salt
1 cup of A bundle of sweet, or an apple or pineapple jam

Step 1 : To prepare this recipe, start by forming a volcano with the flour and placing the margarine, yeast, eggs, half of the sugar, a pinch of salt, and a little water if the yeast is very dry in the center.
Step 2 : Then, combine the ingredients with your hands and knead until the dough doesn't stick to your hands.
Step 3 : Next, cover the dough with a cloth or towel and let it rest for approximately two hours in a warm place without drafts, until it doubles in size.
Step 4 : Afterwards, set aside a small portion of the dough to make the decorative strips that will go on top, and divide the remaining dough into two parts.
Step 5 : One part is used as the base, which is placed in a previously greased and floured mold measuring about 30 cm by 12 or 15 cm, and then baked.
Step 6 : Spread the jam or sweet on this base, then cover with the second stretched portion of dough.
Step 7 : Finally, with the small reserved portions of dough, form the strips to place on top of the semita.
Step 8 : Sprinkle with sugar and bake at 350°C for approximately 40 minutes.
