Rice pudding
Ingredients
4 cups of Milk
6 cups of Water
1 cup of Sugar
⅓ cup of Long-grain rice
4 Cinnamon stick
2 tablespoons of Butter
1 pinch of Salt
1 pinch of Ground nutmeg
¼ cup of Sultanas
Preparation
Step 1 : A few hours before starting, it is recommended to soak the rice in a cup of milk and a cup of water and refrigerate to speed up the cooking process.
Step 2 : In a pot over medium heat, place the four cups of water with the cinnamon stick and salt until it boils.
Step 3 : Then, add the rice with the soaking liquid and stir to prevent sticking to the bottom.
Step 4 : Be attentive to adding more water as needed.
Step 5 : When the rice is sufficiently soft, add the milk and half of the sugar.
Step 6 : Continue adjusting the water as necessary, and when it reaches a nearly solid consistency, add the remaining milk and remaining sugar.
Step 7 : Remove from heat when it has a thick consistency and pour into dishes or ice cream cups.
Step 8 : Sprinkle with ground nutmeg and refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
