Salvadoran Chicken Soup
Ingredients

1 Whole chicken
2 Chayotes cut into pieces
1 Carrots sliced
2 Tomatoes cut into strips
3 Potatoes chopped
1 Cassava cut into pieces
2 Corn on the cob cut into pieces
4 Garlic cloves
1 Whole onion
3 Pumpkins or squash halved
1 Green chili sliced
10 Mint leaves
½ Bunch of cilantro
2 Celery stalks chopped
Chicken broth
Lemon
1 pinch of Salt
Preparation
Step 1 : While the broth boils, peel the vegetables and cut them into suitable pieces.
Step 2 : Next, place the chicken, tomatoes, onion, celery, and green chili in the pot with the broth.
Step 3 : Let it cook for about 15 minutes, then add a teaspoon of chicken broth and a little pepper to season.
Step 4 : Cover the preparation and let it cook, checking that it has the necessary salt.
Step 5 : Then, add the other vegetables, such as potatoes, carrots, chayotes, and pumpkins or squash.
